Advertisers are parasites and your attention is valuable. Don't let them take it. Blocking ads also limits the data that advertisers are able to gather about you. When advertisers gather data, they also sell it. You are not a product, don't let them sell you.
Whenever possible, avoid using special apps to access your services. These apps are often designed to reveal more data for collection, and as gauranteed path to serve ads to you. Using a web browser with adblock will reduce both.
